"I thought I knew God and He knew me at a young age. I'd stand on a fence post on my parents' farm and talk to Him. I saw creation about me, understood the cycle of life, and I knew, knew God existed. And I thought He heard me. My every thought and need.

 

Yet at the age of 17, an evangelist at church camp revealed God wouldn't hear me if I hadn't said the Sinner's Prayer. And I hadn't.

 

I couldn't bear the thought that God had never heard me. After gripping the pew back all week, I finally went forward and poured out that prayer. I admitted I needed forgiveness, believed Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for my sins, and confessed that Jesus Christ was Lord.

 

My path has never been the same.  Some say I'm brainwashed. Some say I'm a freak. I say I'M SAVED and bound for eternal Heaven. Hallelujah and pass the peas!

 

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are bound for Hell, just as I was. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God."

 

Sin is real. Nobody has to teach a young child to do wrong. It is very real and damning. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

 

But we all have a choice that saves our eternity! Jesus Christ came to take the punishment for each of our sins! John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."

 

All we have to do is confess with our mouth that we believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for our sins, and God changes our eternal destination forever! 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

 

Yes, it's really this simple.

 

 

I'm going to be in Heaven someday.  Hope to see you there."
